Who We Are

Since 1973, RTO/ERO Toronto District 16 has provided excellent programs and services for its members (teachersschool and board administrators, educational support staff, childhood educators, child care professionals and college and university faculty/employees) in retirement. After more than 40 years, member-volunteers continue to provide information and activities to our over 5,000 members ranging in age from 50 to over 100. (RTO/ERO's total membership is over 72,000.)

Toronto District 16 was originally created to serve retirees from the pre-1997 legacy Toronto Board of Education. Since the amalgamation of the public school boards, our membership extends, not only in central Toronto, but all the way to British Columbia and Newfoundland. We have about 15 members residing in the United States and overseas.
